I made a STUPID mistake so you have to read this blog from the bottom upwards...scroll to the bottom..

Okay, finished! I hope you understood the reading it backwards thing. I posted the pictures in the wrong order.

Thazin's cousin donated all the food for her birthday.
Everybody ate mohinga, excluding louise (yuck)! Then ice-cream. They love ice-cream!

Lovely Grade 2 girls.

Thazin feeding cake to Bo Bew, the school dog.

Then all the kids and Thazin went round feeding everybody the cake with the same spoons..

The whole school squashed up to the table and they sang happy birthday, then they all blew out the candles.

I can hear mum screaming "health and safety!"

Cute cakes, I went and bought one at the shop the other day. The icing is cream though, not like normal cakes.

Thazin's speech, she got kids up behind every small cake.

Everyone piling into the Grade 2 classroom for the celebrations.

2 of the daughters of the Canadian family and a girl from the school. They're holding 3 of the 7 school puppies.

Grade 3 class, one of the sweet boys being funny.

On Mondays and Tuesdays in the morning, a family from Canada comes to the school. They work in many migrant schools and moved here not too long ago. They're staying for one year and seem to be doing brilliant work with the children in Kindergarten B and also Grade 2. This is the father of the family teaching Grade 2 time.

Grade 4 boys setting up.

Yan Yan and Mon Sein setting up the huge speakers and microphone.

The big cake.

Baby was very excited by the hundreds of cakes that were being presented infront of her.

Many photos of Thazin's birthday celebrations.
Everybody gathered in the Grade 2 building to sing happy birthday, speeches and singing. Thazin and some Grade 4 boys set up 3 or 4 tables long ways and had about 20 little cakes and in the middle, a big cake.

10th of November - Thazin's birthday.
All my classes were full, they all had teachers, unbelievable. So I went to Kindergarten A to hang out and Phyu Phyu made me teach them.
I loved this so much I had to photograph it. The kids are supposed to draw the thing I write. Amazing.

  1. Happy birthday dear Thazin, happy birthday from us. Those cakes are pretty nice though. Last year at Wei Hin's birthday, she fed us all with cake from a spoon. Baby must have loved all those little cakes. Thazin looks well and happy, which is amazing when she has so many difficulties in keeping Hle Bee going. Mum
